Winners of the All-Russian "Russia — My Horizons" Award announced at the National Centre RUSSIA
Helping
schoolchildren find a field they enjoy, discover different professions and take
their first steps towards a future career — this is the focus of the projects
recognised by the All-Russian "Russia — My Horizons" Award. The award
ceremony took place on 30 September at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of
the joint Homeroom Teachers' Forum and School Principals' Forum and became the
closing event of the All-Russian Career Guidance Month held within the
"Ticket to the Future" project.
The award
is held with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation
and recognises the best practices in implementing the Unified Career Guidance
Model and the "Russia — My Horizons" course: projects that help
schoolchildren explore professions, try themselves in different areas and build
their own educational and professional pathways.
"The
'Russia — My Horizons' Award has become an important tool for identifying and
recognising the best practices in career guidance for students. Today, we can
see the scale of the work being carried out across the country: more than 1,300
applications from 82 regions confirm the strong interest of the professional
community in developing career guidance. I am confident that the projects
presented will form the basis of a methodological bank of best practices and
will be in demand among educational institutions throughout the country,"
said Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Andrei Nikolayev.
The award
brings together the efforts of the state, the teaching community, educational
institutions and partners, creating a unified system of early career guidance
that helps schoolchildren discover professions and make informed choices about
their future path. Awards were presented to schoolchildren, teachers, educational
institutions, regional teams and employers.
"Schools
and teachers are at the heart of career guidance. Thank you very much for your
contribution to this work. And, of course, none of this would be possible
without the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and
Minister Sergei Kravtsov personally. I am deeply grateful to all the organisers
for the opportunities they have provided," said Ivan Yesin, Head of the
Humanitarian Projects Foundation, operator of the Unified Career Guidance Model
"Ticket to the Future".
The Rosatom
State Corporation is a partner of the award. It participates in the
implementation of the Unified Career Guidance Model and gives schoolchildren an
opportunity to try out professions at its enterprises.
"For
Rosatom, career guidance is an investment in the future. After all, the nuclear
industry involves projects with life cycles of 100 years or more, and they will
be implemented by those who are sitting at school desks today. We are building
an ecosystem for developing human resources based on partnerships with schools,
teachers, parents and universities. The All-Russian 'Russia — My Horizons'
Award helps us and other major high-tech companies develop future employees.
Behind every practice is an opportunity for a schoolchild to find a field they
enjoy and take the first step towards their dream. This is where the training
of specialists capable of ensuring our country's technological sovereignty
begins," noted Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human
Resources at the Rosatom State Corporation.
The
All-Russian "Russia — My Horizons" Award recognises the best
practices in implementing the Unified Career Guidance Model "Ticket to the
Future" and the "Russia — My Horizons" course. These initiatives
help schoolchildren try themselves in different areas and make informed choices
about their further education and future profession. The event took place as
part of the VI Homeroom Teachers' Forum and the I School Principals' Forum,
which are being held at the National Centre RUSSIA from 30 September to 2
October.
