The development of winemaking and wine tourism in our country was discussed at the RUSSIA EXPO. The round table was held within the framework of the Sevastopol Day.

Many people associate domestic wine brands with this Crimean city, and Crimea itself is the largest center of viticulture in the country.

"The unique history of Sevastopol is closely connected with winemaking, and I want to say that the diverse culture of different wineries and different people united by the desire to make the project Sevastopol Terroir known around the world - it certainly yields its results. The theoretical part is over, and we are already actively moving towards the practical realization of this project. The necessary funds are allocated, the construction of the city winery is being finalized, and industry professionals are taking advantage of additional support measures. So, we are confident that the Sevastopol Terroir will not only become a wine "pearl" of Russia, but will also become world famous", — said the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev.

The participants of the discussion addressed the peculiarities and main aspects of viticulture and wine tourism development in the wine regions of Russia. According to Mikhail Razvozhayev, the priority project for the development of the region Sevastopol Terroir involves the creation of a special tourist route named Wine Road. It will allow tourists to comfortably move from one winery to another, unhindered and legally stay there overnight, tasting and purchasing products.

"On the instructions of the President, a draft law was developed to amend certain legislative acts on the development of winemaking and wine tourism in the country. It establishes both the concept of "wine tourism" and the way the tourist infrastructure should be built and developed", — emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure Development Tatiana Lobach.

On January 8, Sevastopol Day was held at the RUSSIA EXPO. Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev presented the main achievements of the city, and many different activities were prepared for visitors.
