Let’s raise the Russian flag together across the country
The National Centre RUSSIA is joining the nationwide
#RaiseTheFlag campaign and invites everyone to take part in the flash mob of
the same name, whose main goal is to unite the country around a shared symbol.
The large-scale campaign is being held from 19 to 22 August ahead of one of the
country’s most significant holidays — the Day of the State Flag of the Russian
Federation.
Raising the Russian flag is more than a tradition. It is a symbol of our
victories and achievements, both great and small. When a schoolchild raises the
flag at an assembly for the first time, an athlete raises it on the winners’
podium, a mountaineer raises it after reaching a summit or a cosmonaut raises
it high above the clouds, each of these moments embodies our shared history of victories,
of which everyone can become a part. It is no coincidence that the President of
Russia, Vladimir Putin, has said that each of us carries the gene of a winner.
We invite everyone — families, companies, professional communities and every
person who takes pride in their country — to share photographs or videos of
themselves raising the Russian flag on social media. Be sure to accompany your
image or video with the hashtags #RaiseTheFlag and #VictoryGene to become part
of this major celebration of pride and unity. If you do not have a suitable
