Feats of the past and present: a hall dedicated to the heroes of our Motherland was opened at the National Centre RUSSIA
At the
National Centre RUSSIA, within the "Time of the First" exposition, a
unique hall has opened, dedicated to the outstanding heroes of our country.
Visitors can learn about Russians who have made the country proud with their
achievements in various fields: from military feats to scientific discoveries,
from sports records to heroic deeds during peaceful times.
"On
the Heroes of the Fatherland Day, the Movement of the First launched a special
thematic display at the 'Time of the First' exposition at the National Centre
RUSSIA. It is dedicated to those whose feats the whole country is proud of. The
hall of the heroes of our Motherland showcases the stories and names of those
who have committed heroic acts both in the past and in modern times, during the
Special Military Operation. The exposition also includes the stories of young
participants of the Movement of the First who demonstrated courage and bravery.
I am convinced that this exposition will not only serve as a valuable source of
historical knowledge but also as an inspiration for the future heroes of our
country," said Hero of Russia, Chairman of the Board of the Movement of
the First, Artur Orlov.
The
exposition consists of multimedia and audio materials: the information is
presented in an accessible and engaging way. The heroes of the exposition are
our great compatriots: Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov, Hero of the
Soviet Union — cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, outstanding Soviet and Russian firearms
designer Mikhail Kalashnikov, doctors Yelizaveta Glinka and Leonid Roshal,
Russian violist and conductor Yuri Bashmet, five-time Olympic champion in
cross-country skiing Larisa Lazutina, as well as the first serviceman to be
awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation for his feat during the
Special Military Operation, Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov.
A special
place in the exposition is dedicated to child heroes — participants of the Movement
of the First. These brave teenagers showed courage and valor, performing heroic
deeds: Gleb Novikov from Volgograd saved his grandmother, who was disabled,
from a fire; Zhargal Batuev from the Republic of Buryatia pulled a drowning boy
out of the water; Anton Bakhtiguzin from the Amur region saved his younger
brothers from a burning house; Anton Borsukov from the Bryansk region provided
first aid to a classmate who was choking; Polina Kosmyleva from the Tyumen
region saved a driver having a heart attack; and Zhenya Zuev from Belgorod
shielded his 9-month-old sister during a shelling.
The
thematic exposition will continue until December 15. Visitors will have the
opportunity to learn more about the feats of those who wrote their names in the
history of the country and inspired new generations to perform good deeds and
achieve great things.
