Meeting with Yuri Gagarin's daughter Galina, actors Vsevolod Shilovsky, Sergey Nikonenko, Elena Papanova, drawing of tourist vouchers - the Day of the Smolensk Region at the RUSSIA EXPO promises a lot of surprises.

You can take part in the New Year rituals "Smolenskiye Vecherki" ("Smolensk Evenings"), carry out excavation works in the Gnezdov mounds - Europe's largest archaeological monument of the Viking Age. In the evening on the VDNH Main Stage guests will see a performance of the KVN team Triode and Diode and a concert of the popular band Swanky Tunes.

You can listen to the Bishop's Choir of the Cathedral of the Holy Dormition and see the sacred relics - the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God, called "Odigitria", sandals of the patron saint of Smolensk, the warrior Mercury.

Excursions, masterclasses, gastronomic program and entertainment for children are prepared for the guests of the Exposition. Follow the Events section.

On the VDNH Main Alley, guests are greeted by regional New Year trees, including the one from the Smolensk region. The region presented everything it is famous for in its New Year decorations. Colorful figurines of animals and fairy tale creatures: the Sirin bird, characters from Russian fairy tales, and the towers of the Smolensk Kremlin - the largest Kremlin in Russia - are nestled in the branches of the fir tree.
