In full swing: Oleg Kozhemyako spoke about construction of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok
The construction of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok is entering the final stage. Finishing works are being done inside the building and on the facade, and the surrounding area is being prepared for landscaping. Oleg Kozhemyako, Governor of the Primorsky region, told about this during an inspection of the future branch.
"The branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will present all the best achievements of our region and of the Russian Federation, and will become a place of attraction for both citizens and guests," Oleg Kozhemyako emphasized.
The opening is scheduled for early September this year. The event will be an important step in the formation of an all-Russian cultural space that preserves the unique heritage of each region.
Technologies and interactive tools
The branch's space will be modern and interactive. After the construction is completed, the ground floor will house an innovative zone "Feel the Primorsky Region" with elements of augmented reality. There, guests will be able to feel the sea breeze and enjoy the beauty of the local nature.
In the lobby, visitors will be greeted by a chronological panel, a visual timeline of key events that sets the historical context. In the immersion zone, they will be able to learn about the development of cities in Primorye, to feel like an urban planner, and evaluate the logistical ties of the region with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Also, the guests will have a chance to explore the potential of the Northern Sea Route, and even navigate an icebreaker from the northern ports to Vladivostok. An interactive "Events" board will help people keep up to date with cultural and sporting events.
Unique expositions
One of the most unusual parts of the display is a bathyscaphe, in which the visitors can dive to the bottom of the ocean and explore the underwater world. Other themed areas will allow the guests to:
- follow the leopard trail and plant a tree;
- feel the velvet of the sandy beaches and hear the sound of the ocean;
- immerse into the culture of indigenous peoples;
- get acquainted with major investment projects;
- learn about the achievements of the region: from catching seafood to the construction of icebreakers, from automotive industry to the use of robotics.
Nature and architecture
The special flavor of Primorye is conveyed in the architecture, storefronts and media content of the branch. Visitors will see the harmony of nature and man, which is proven over the centuries. The exposition will present the taiga, the sea, hills and valleys with traces of wild animals.
The branch will become not only a venue for displays, but also a centre for business and social events. The Department Store, a gastronomic zone and a coworking space will also open there.
Earlier, Oleg Kozhemyako noted that the spacious halls with an area of 4,000 square meters will house expositions that will turn into a new point of attraction for residents and guests of Vladivostok.
By the end of the year, branches of the National Centre RUSSIA will open in the Krasnoyarsk region, Sevastopol, the Ryazan Region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous region—Yugra. This is a part of a large-scale project with the main mission -- to preserve the historical heritage, show the achievements of the regions, shape the cultural and business agenda of the country, and strengthen a sense of pride in Russia.
From 1 to 7 September, the National Centre is hosting the Days of the Republic of Dagestan.
The TES’LA band is a professional collective from Vladivostok.
For Dagestan, such cultural heritage is lezginka — a dance that embodies the spirit, traditions and identity of the people.
