Monday is a maintenance day at the National Centre RUSSIA
On Monday, 4 May, the National Centre RUSSIA will be closed
to visitors as the venue will hold its regular maintenance day. This is
necessary to ensure that the expositions remain in perfect condition and that
every visit is comfortable, safe and delivers only positive impressions.
Specialists will carry out a deep clean of exposition spaces
and public areas, check the operation of multimedia equipment, interactive
panels and systems, and update software and consumables. The National Centre
RUSSIA will reopen to visitors of all ages on Tuesday, 5 May.
The National Centre RUSSIA welcomes guests from Tuesday to
Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00. Visitors can explore the cultural and historical
legacy and contemporary achievements of the country’s regions at the permanent
exposition "Journey Across Russia", trace the routes of Russian
explorers within the exposition project "Geography Lessons", and
discover the cuisines of different peoples at the Gastronomic Rows
"Journey Across Russia. Food".
In addition, from 1 to 10 May, the National Centre RUSSIA is
hosting events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory. Guests
can say “thank you” to the Heroes by taking part in the nationwide campaign
"Memory Wall", the charity campaign "Red Carnation", the
patriotic campaign "Cars for the Front", and other commemorative and
thematic events. The exposition project "Geography Lessons" and
special sections of the exposition "Journey Across Russia" also
present stories about military topography, cartographer heroes, the Siege of
Leningrad, and other historical events, people, feats and phenomena.
All events are free of charge; some require prior
registration. The current schedule and announcements are available on russia.ru
in the "Events" section and on the official social media pages of the
National Centre RUSSIA.
The meeting was held as part of the authorial cultural and educational project "Exploring Russia".
Participants of the Young Tour Guides School of Russia project saw how a radio broadcast is born and met the presenters at Children's Radio.
