Applications for the Young Tour Guides School of Russia extended

Young residents of Moscow and the Moscow Region aged 12 to 17 now have an additional opportunity to discover first-hand how exciting a career as a tour guide can be: applications for the new season of the Young Tour Guides School of Russia project have been extended until 25 September. This means even more young people will be able to take their first step towards this fascinating profession. The programme is delivered in person at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow — a place where the atmosphere itself inspires people to tell the story of our great country.

The Young Tour Guides School of Russia was created for those who want to share accurate and engaging stories about their homeland. Classes and guided tours take place at the National Centre RUSSIA displays and expositions. Professional guide-mentors teach participants how to work with audiences and create their own routes, while guest experts reveal the secrets of public speaking and effective communication. Alongside theoretical knowledge, participants gain practical experience in the profession and make new friends and connections with like-minded people — those with whom they can grow and develop.

For many participants, the Young Tour Guides School of Russia has become a place where dreams come true. The students have already conducted tours for President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, as well as for numerous distinguished guests and delegations. Some graduates of the School are already working as professional guides, while others have enrolled at universities they had long dreamed of entering. Behind every such achievement are first rehearsals, nervousness before an audience and the support of mentors who help participants believe in themselves.

To join the project, applicants must complete the participant application form and write a motivation letter explaining their desire to become a young tour guide and sharing their expectations for taking part in the project. Once the application has been approved, access to the creative assignment will become available in the applicant's personal account. The completed assignment must be uploaded by 25 September.

The list of participants who successfully pass the competitive selection process will be published on the russia.ru website. Classes will take place every Sunday from 11 October 2026 to 23 May 2027 at the National Centre RUSSIA.

The Young Tour Guides School of Russia is an original National Centre RUSSIA project that continues the work of the school of the same name that worked at the International RUSSIA EXPO.
