Record-breaking strength and jewelry work: the Omsk region at the RUSSIA EXPO
Visitors to
the International RUSSIA EXPO witnessed the creation of the smallest replica of
the Angara rocket and the world record of a Russian bogatyr. All this was
presented at the stand of the Omsk region on the Day of the Region.
The Omsk
region spoke about its powerful industrial potential and its main pride - the
Polyot enterprise. The assembly of four different modifications of the Angara
rocket is being finalized there.
During the
Great Patriotic War, Omsk received more than a hundred evacuated factories from
the frontline regions and soon became a major center of metalworking and
mechanical engineering. One of the most powerful defense-industrial complexes
in the country was created there.
"Today there are over two hundred industrial enterprises operating in the region, including 16 large defense plants, whose capacities are fully loaded," - said the Governor of the Omsk region Vitaly Khotsenko.
The guests of the exposition witnessed the creation of a micro-miniature copy of the Angara launch rocket in the eye of a needle. A truly jewelry work was made by artist Anatoly Konenko. And Mikhail Shivlyakov, an Omsk bogatyr, set a world record - he bent more than 12 metal bars against his head within a minute.
The
ceremony symbolizes the enduring value of family traditions and emphasizes the
continuation of the initiatives of the Year of the Family in the future.
On December 19, the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow hosted the Closing Ceremony of the All-Russian Student Forum "Your Move — 2024."
