On 12 April 2026, Orthodox Christians in Russia celebrate one of the most important and joyful holidays — Easter. This day symbolises the triumph of life over death, as well as hope, renewal, and spiritual rebirth. By tradition, people exchange kind words, greetings, and wishes for peace, love, and well-being.

On the night from Holy Saturday to Easter Sunday, a festive service was held at the Church of Saint Seraphim of Sarov on the grounds of the National Centre RUSSIA. Parishioners, local residents, and employees from the nearby business district along Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment gathered for prayer.

"Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Dear brothers and sisters, I congratulate you all on the bright feast of Christ’s Resurrection and wish that the risen Christ may grant us light, joy, and faith in what He has revealed to us — that He has opened the doors of paradise and overcome our greatest enemies," said Acting Rector of the Church of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, Priest Dmitry Kashirin.

The Church of Saint Seraphim of Sarov was specially decorated for the holiday. The design was inspired by the "Hen" Easter egg, based on the Imperial Faberge Easter eggs.
