The Sakhalin region is set to participate at RUSSIA EXPO
The Sakhalin region plans to present its main achievements in different areas.
"Section "Economy" of the EXPO will tell the visitors about oil and gas projects including setting up of an oilfield service industrial park, training of skilled personnel, gasification of the region, its coal mining industry, fishing industry, development of aviation, railway and maritime transport in the region. Visitors to the „Agriculture and food industry“ stand will learn how food security is being ensured on the islands and major projects in the fields of livestock and crop production are being implemented", — commented the press office of the Sakhalin region governor and government.
Visitors of the EXPO will be presented with promising projects in the areas of healthcare, social services and sights demanded by the tourists.
"Guests visiting the show stands provided by the Sakhalin region will be pleased with performances of the island’s artistic teams and theater actors. In addition, they will be shared with the historical and cultural peculiarities of the Sakhalin region including culture and daily life of indigenous minorities. For example, workshops on fish skin painting, wood animal figures carving will be held for everyone", the press office stated.
The Sakhalin region is the only subject of the Russian Federation located on the islands. The region is a food agar production monopoly and one of the popular tourist destinations in the country. The Tyuleny island, Tuytya volcano and Daginsky thermal springs are among the most visited locations.
One of the day's key events was a training session on working with children who have experienced psychological trauma.
