St. Petersburg in four dimensions: Alexander Beglov presented the outlines of the city's development

smart, social, comfortable - the head of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov
presented four main directions of the city's development at the RUSSIA EXPO.
"Like
the rest of the country, St. Petersburg has been seriously upgraded in recent
years. At the RUSSIA EXPO we have brought together our main achievements. All
of them are directly related to the decisions and instructions of President Vladimir
Putin. Together with the President and under his leadership we are building St.
Petersburg that is comfortable for living, studying and working", - emphasized Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg.
The Open
City direction is a new life for old buildings, modernization of the Mayakovsky
Library, development of the Blockade Museum, revival of the Sea Cathedral in
Kronstadt.
The second
direction of the metropolis Smart City covers the development of shipbuilding,
pharmaceutical industry and other sectors, creation of unmanned aviation
systems.
Social City
represents the modernization of medical institutions and the construction of
new transformer hospitals.
The fourth
direction Comfortable City is public spaces with access to water, a new transportation
framework, renewal of transport, and a new environmental policy.
Within the
framework of the national projects initiated by Russian President Vladimir
Putin, 57 schools, 172 kindergartens, 61 clinics have been built here in 4.5
years.
With the
support of the President, a key element of the transportation infrastructure
was launched - the Western High-Speed Diameter expressway connecting the
northern, central and southern districts of the city.
On the
instructions of the President, a project of integrated development of the
Kronstadt territory "Fort Island", which is strategically important
for St. Petersburg, is being implemented. The object will form a cluster with
32 objects of tourist, social, commercial, engineering and transportation
infrastructure, which will expand the inflow of tourists and create new jobs.
The Governor also spoke about the new year-round federal resort in Gorskaya, the campus of the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics "ITMO Highpark", the project of high-speed railroad within St. Petersburg.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. The exposition takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to April 12. During the whole period of the exposition the guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program.
This unique project, implemented in the format of an interactive tour, invites children to embark on an unforgettable journey across the regions of the country.
On 6 January, a showing of the multi-genre performance "Morozko" took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. It was held for guests and veterans of the special military operation who participate.
