Our Family is Russia: Chuvash artists performed at the RUSSIA EXPO in honor of the Akatuy holiday
One of the
most important national holidays of the Chuvash people - Akatuy - was
celebrated at the RUSSIA EXPO with a concert program "Our Family is
Russia!". Artists of the Chuvash State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble
and the Chuvash State Philharmonic Society took to the Main Stage of the
Exposition.
Dinara
Yunisova, Konstantin Zhivulin, Alina Kudryavtseva, Vladimir Ashmarin, Yuri
Katkov, Lyubov and Alexander Ilyin, Margarita Finogentova, Tatiana Vasilieva,
ensembles "Syaval", "Sespel", "Belcanto" and
dance company Nota G presented a concert program entitled "Our Family is
Russia!", during which they performed compositions in Russian and Chuvash
languages.
"Today
we are happy to be participants of a big holiday called Akatuy - it is the end
of sowing works in Chuvashia. We would like to show everything that the
republic is rich in - culture, art, dances, songs, rituals and so on. Today we
are presenting all this in Moscow, in the very heart of our country - at the
RUSSIA EXPO. We are very happy and excited to be a part of such an important
and grandiose event as the RUSSIA EXPO," said Sergei Rerekin, an artist of
the Nota G dance group of the Chuvash State Philharmonic.
Artists of
the Chuvash State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble showed the visitors a
concert program entitled "In a United Family!"
"We
prepared a bright and dynamic program for the guests of the event. The Chuvash
State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble is the face of the republic, its calling
card. This year the ensemble celebrates its 100th anniversary. We try to
popularize Chuvash culture throughout the country. This year the Year of the
Family has been declared in Russia, and the name of our concert program is
connected with it. We believe that productions dedicated to the family are an
integral part of our work," said Alexei Timoshenko, artistic director and
chief choreographer of the Chuvash State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble.
The
International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the most important achievements of the
country in one platform. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich
business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89
Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public
organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 16 million people have
already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on
the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
The new building of the National Centre RUSSIA, the construction of which was officially launched by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, will feature a unique self-supporting roof.
The event included a presentation of the original futurological novel "Alternative".
Employees and volunteers of the National Centre RUSSIA joined the official launch ceremony of the nationwide campaign "Memory Wall", which was held at the National Centre RUSSIA this year.
