The interregional historical and cultural tourism project "Silver Necklace of Russia" was included in the rating of unique events, objects and phenomena on the portal "Achievements.RF", launched in preparation for the International RUSSIA EXPO.

The unique interregional historical and cultural tourism project "Silver Necklace of Russia" is a large-scale system of routes united by a common idea. Thanks to the project tourists can plan and fulfill numerous variants of traveling.

"Silver Necklace" includes several historical cities, regional centers and large settlements of the North-West of Russia: St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Pskov, Novgorod regions, the Republics of Karelia and Komi and the Nenets Autonomous Area.

Unique historical and cultural monuments as well as beautiful natural objects, including those from the UNESCO World Heritage List, are waiting for tourists. Thanks to the development of the "Silver Necklace" project, more than 1500 domestic and interregional tourist routes have already appeared. More than 20 of them have been awarded the status of national routes.

As a reminder, residents can vote for the key achievements of their regions on the portal "Achievements.RF" in the section "Regional Achievements".
