SHAMAN presented song for National Unity Day at the National Centre RUSSIA
The premiere of a new composition by performer Yaroslav
Dronov (SHAMAN) took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. The Honoured Artist
of Russia performed his song "4 November" during the gala concert of
the All-Russian Festival "Contemporary Musical Map of Russia". The
piece was written especially for National Unity Day.
The song "4 November" is dedicated to love for the
Motherland, a sense of responsibility for one’s country, and the heroism of
Russian warriors. According to SHAMAN, this music would have resonated equally
during the battles of Poltava, Borodino, Brest, Stalingrad, and Donbass. The
artist emphasised that in difficult times, when the enemy threatened Russian
lands, the people always stood united in defence of their Fatherland. This idea
reflects the main message of the song and its connection with the nation’s
history.
The performer presented the composition together with its
lyricist — Senator for the Nizhny Novgorod region Alexander Vainberg. This is
already their second collaboration, and SHAMAN expressed hope that a third song
will follow.
The concert at the National Centre RUSSIA became the vivid
concluding event of the festival "Contemporary Musical Map of
Russia", an All-Russian project showcasing the country’s cultural
diversity and uniting composers from across Russia.
