Griffin-phoenix becomes the symbol of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region
The griffin-phoenix — one of the supporters on the coat of arms of Ryazan — has become the symbol of the new branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region, which will open in the regional capital on 5 October. This image embodies the character of the Ryazan Region, which for centuries was a borderland and served as a reliable shield on the south-eastern frontier of Rus'. Every period of hardship was followed by the revival of the Ryazan land — and today the griffin-phoenix reflects the region's historical path: its ability to overcome difficulties and move forward in the interests of the Motherland.
The image of a reliable shield and confidence in the future has become part of the visual style of the National Centre RUSSIA in Ryazan for good reason. The Ryazan Region is a strong and beautiful region where history and traditions are cherished and great attention is paid to creativity and folk crafts, while industry, science and technology are also actively developing. The new branch will introduce visitors to this diversity and richness of the Ryazan land as an integral part of the country.
The National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region will become the first branch in the Central Federal District and the fourth in the country. The main task of the regional spaces is to create a unified environment for knowledge, ideas and inspiration where a shared civic and national identity can be shaped and strengthened.
The new space is located at 26 Oksky Proyezd, Ryazan, within walking distance of the Ryazan Kremlin and the Ryazan VDNH. It will become part of a major pedestrian tourist route connecting historical sites, public spaces and the city's key attractions. The programme for the branch's festive opening is available on the website and on the social media accounts of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Ryazan Region: MAX, VK, Odnoklassniki and Telegram.
