Schoolchildren of the Irkutsk region presented projects of tourist routes at the RUSSIA EXPO

New tourist routes were prepared by schoolchildren - winners of the All-Russian program for the development of educational tourism for children and youth Cool Country.
The event took place on 12 January at the Irkutsk region stand at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH.
The event was opened by Timofey Artyomov and Vyacheslav Khafizov, students of the educational complex Point of the Future. The children told about the main sights of the Angara region, collected in a single ABC of Symbols of the Irkutsk Region. Children from among the visitors of the exposition had a lot of questions to the speakers, the kids clarified how to visit Baikal on their school routes.
"We told the guests and residents of the capital about the pearl of Lake Baikal - Olkhon Island, explained how religion and culture are blended into a single whole and create unforgettable impressions," schoolchildren shared.
The performance ended with a school game Southern Baikal Region, in which the guests of the pavilion took part. The winners received a white baby Baikal seal, a symbol of children's tourism, as a gift.
The All-Russian program for the development of educational tourism for children and youth Cool Country was launched in 2023 by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) with the support of the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. The event takes place within the framework of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry national project.
"The Irkutsk region became one of 22 regions included in this program. Five tracks were developed during the year by schoolchildren from different territories of the Baikal region, the kids reached the finish line and received high marks from experts," said the head of the Tourism Agency of the Irkutsk region Evgenia Naidenova.
