The School of Young Tour Guides opened at the RUSSIA EXPO
The School
of Young Tour Guides of the RUSSIA EXPO was launched in the Home of Youth at
the RUSSIA EXPO, where acting tour guides will pass on their professional
skills and knowledge of the RUSSIA EXPO content to their children.
Ksenia
Razuvaeva, Head of Rosmolodezh, addressed the participants of the launch with a
welcoming speech.
“First of
all, I would like to welcome the parents of our young ‘guides of meanings’ and
express my deepest gratitude for taking on a responsible mission: to introduce
the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO to the main achievements of our country. And now
this work will be continued by your children, to whom you set a personal
example and involve in joint work at an important event for our country. Boys
and girls, you are the future of our country, and I want to wish you a lot of
luck and success, and we, adults, will always be by your side. I promise that I
will join your tour among the first guests, I look forward to it!” said Ksenia
Razuvaeva.
Pelageya
Sterligova, the Head of the RUSSIA EXPO tour circuit, emphasized that training
and working as a guide at the Exposition would be a valuable experience that
would come in handy in the future.
“Perhaps
not everyone was enthusiastic about the fact that at the end of the year it is
necessary to go somewhere to study once again. But I am sure that in just a few
days there will be messages of pride in your social networks: that you are
studying and then working as guides at such a significant historical exposition
as the RUSSIA EXPO. Your life will be long, your destiny will be different.
Perhaps at some point in your life you will be lucky enough to work as a guide
somewhere. And you will remember the skills you will acquire here. I am sure it
will be very useful for you," Pelageya Sterligova said, welcoming the
future specialists.
Yuri
Ushanov, Deputy President of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of
Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Council for Professional Qualification in
Hospitality, told the audience more about the work of an assistant
guide-excursion guide, the subtleties of which will be devoted to
schoolchildren at the course: “It is important that you know that there is such
a thing as job descriptions. Adults here will advise you that this is a
necessary document. I will tell you that the main function that should be
performed by the assistant guide is an auxiliary activity to accompany in the
provision of excursion services and assistance to the guide in the process of
excursion service.”
But the
most important thing, as Yuri Ushanov noted, is that under the new legislation
schoolchildren can work. Having mastered the functions of an assistant tour
guide and having learned to “go to work”, it will be possible then to continue
training and become a real tour guide.
“Judging by
the number of applications we received for the School of Young Tour Guide, I
see that our endeavor is very important and interesting, and was able to
attract the interest of the young generation of guides. It means that a very
large number of people love our country and the RUSSIA EXPO. Our children will
develop new qualities in themselves, and this, of course, will be very useful
in life,” emphasized Inessa Tikanova, the head of the team of guides and the
training unit of the RUSSIA EXPO, a member of the "Guides of
Meanings" community.
She also
noted that it is symbolic how in the Year of the Family, entire dynasties of
tour guides are being created, because parents who have already loved the
RUSSIA EXPO with all their hearts now want their sons and daughters to tell
visitors about all the amazing things our country has to offer.
The National Centre RUSSIA reminds everyone that registration for the video essay contest "Dreams of the Future".
