The All-Russian patriotic campaign "Snow Landing Troop of the Russian Student Squads" started in the Home of Youth at the RUSSIA EXPO. More than 20,000 volunteers from 82 regions of the country took part in the action.

In the year of the 55th anniversary of the "Snow Landing", Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova noted the significance of the project.

"The Snow Landing Troop of the Russian Student Squads is about those who are ready to help where it is needed. Each participant of the campaign knows firsthand how important it is to provide patronage assistance, tidy up monuments, conduct career guidance lessons for schoolchildren, creative masterclasses and concerts. It is the arrival of the Snow Troopers of the RSS that the residents of the most remote villages and settlements of our country look forward to every year," emphasized Tatyana Golikova.

In the jubilee year of the campaign, the Snow Troop squads together with the State Foundation "Defenders of the Fatherland" pay special attention to personal assistance to the families of the participants of the special military operation. The volunteers will also go to the historically significant place for the student squads - the Bulayevsky state farm of the North-Kazakhstan region, where the first labor season of the student squads was held in 1959.

For the first time a Snow Landing Troop trip will be organized in cooperation with Russian Railways, and its participants will go to help veterans of the railway complex within the framework of the 50th anniversary of BAM. The campaign is also organized in new regions of the country. This year volunteers from Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye region will help local residents and organize patronage.

"About 20 thousand volunteers will go to help the inhabitants of villages, settlements in the most remote corners of our country. During the campaign participants will have time to visit more than a thousand settlements. Volunteerism today is actively supported at the state level. A number of legislative bills have been adopted, which regulate volunteer activities and help to develop them. Last November, the President signed a law to support volunteering in the regions. The main thing is that everyone who participates in the RSS Snow Troop campaign does it solely out of the call of their heart. Goodwill is our cultural code," said Mikhail Kiselev, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Student Squads, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy.
