Logo and concept of the exposition space of the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Yugra unveiled
A meeting of the organising committee on the establishment of the Yugra branch of the National Centre RUSSIA was held in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area–Yugra. The participants discussed the current progress and key stages of the project. Governor of Yugra Ruslan Kukharuk announced this on his Telegram channel.
"The large-scale modernisation covers all premises with a total area of about 6,000 square metres. At present, the rough construction and engineering works are nearing completion. Deliveries of finishing materials and multimedia equipment are expected soon. It was decided to increase the number of workers on site due to the tight schedule," said the Governor.
Ruslan Kukharuk noted that in March 2025, with the involvement of experts from the National Centre RUSSIA, municipal strategic sessions were held. They brought together residents of the autonomous area, public activists, young people and veterans. During the meeting of the organising committee, the contractor presented the concept of the exposition space. It was developed based on the collected ideas and proposals and reflects the uniqueness of each municipality and the history of Yugra — from the earliest chronicles to the industrial development of the North and modern times.
The organising committee also presented the logo of the Yugra branch of the National Centre RUSSIA. It features a loon — a bird that holds sacred significance for the peoples of the Far North.
"According to legend, when the planet was entirely covered with water, the loon dived deep into the ocean. The earth it brought up began to expand rapidly, forming islands and continents. By incorporating the loon into the logo of the Yugra branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, we pay tribute to our roots, culture and traditions of the indigenous peoples of Yugra," said Head of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra, Deputy Director General of the ANO "Youth Centre of Yugra" Anton Pilipas during the meeting.
The creation of the branch is being carried out on the instruction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The opening of the branch is scheduled for December this year, to coincide with the 95th anniversary of the autonomous area.
