Healthy longevity as the foundation of Russia’s future
Analysing ways to enhance the role of volunteer, non-profit and public organisations, opinion leaders and cultural figures in promoting a conscious public approach to healthy longevity will be the focus of the discussion session to be held as part of the final forum of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation "Community" in Moscow on 31 October – 1 November.
The discussion will also focus on mechanisms for translating the federal agenda on healthy longevity to the regional and municipal levels.
According to the organisers, the topic of healthy longevity must reach every person, helping citizens embrace the values of health preservation and the principles of a long and active life.
The session moderator, member of the Civic Chamber Commission on Healthcare Anastasia Stolkovа, reminded participants of the wide range of challenges that can be addressed by combining the efforts of all sectors working with people and of society itself. She noted in particular the regional movement "For the Medicine of Healthy Longevity", launched in October 2025 on the initiative of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The movement aims to unite the efforts of all interested parties and organisations around one mission — to help people live longer and healthier lives. A movement council will be established in each region.
"Achieving these goals requires synergy between civil, social and political institutions. A special role in this process belongs to public organisations, the media, opinion leaders, and cultural and educational figures. They bear the important responsibility of shaping a public agenda that encourages every Russian citizen to join the movement for healthy longevity," noted the member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that in 2025 the Civic Chamber of Russia marks its 20th anniversary. The final forum "Community" is the key event of the anniversary year. It will take place ahead of National Unity Day, on 31 October – 1 November, in Moscow at the National Centre RUSSIA.
