Join the khorovod with the National Centre RUSSIA!
The year 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia — a time to strengthen mutual respect and understanding, highlight cultural diversity, and remind us that the strength of the country lies in the unity of its peoples. The National Centre RUSSIA invites everyone across the country to come together in a khorovod (traditional circle dance).
Why this dance? The khorovod is an ancient symbol of unity: there are no first or last participants, no leaders or outsiders — everyone is equal and moves together. This reflects Russia — a country where different cultures unite rather than divide. It is a shared movement in which each person is part of a common circle.
We are starting. Join us! Send your khorovod videos, share them on social media, and use the hashtag #ХороводЕдинстваРоссии. The best entries will be featured on the National Centre’s platforms.
Create your own khorovod — with friends, family, and colleagues. Film it, share it, and pass it on. Because the khorovod is not just a tradition — it is a way of being together.
From 27 to 29 April, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the main international event of the spring — the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World.
The masterclass was led by chef, gastrobotanist, and researcher of wild plants in gastronomy Andrei Kolodyazhny.
The Russian Library Society was founded in 1916 in Moscow.
