Craftswomen of the Kurgan region will present the technique of belt weaving on boards that was typical for the end of the XIX century at the International RUSSIA EXPO.

The Center of Russian Folk Culture "Lad" in Shadrinsk continues to prepare for the RUSSIA EXPO. The best craftswomen of the region are preparing to present their unique works. The main showpiece will be a carpet with traditional ornament embroidered in the chenille technique typical for the Kurgan region. The carpet will feature a bouquet of roses on a black field, and the product itself will decorate the stand of the Kurgan region.

"Kurgan craftswomen are also ready to demonstrate one of the traditional types of belt weaving on boards — such weaving was typical for our region of the late XIX — early XX century. The craftswoman will weave a pattern replicating the ethnographic sample stored in the museum funds of the "Lad" center. Visitors of the exposition will be shown carpet embroidery needles and homemade needles for carpet embroidery from the museum funds, special boards for weaving belts", — the press service of the region informed.

The guests of the exposition will also enjoy a bright show from the famous Kurgan ensemble "Tsveten". Its musicians create their songs on the basis of ancient folklore, combining ethno and pop styles. At the exposition "Tsveten" will present several new compositions and hits already loved by the residents of the region.
