A press conference dedicated to the launch of the unique educational programme for talented young teenagers, the Young Journalists School, will be held on 13 January at the National Centre RUSSIA. A new programme, aimed at training young people aged 12 to 17 as media specialists, will be presented here.

The competitive selection of the first participants will start in January 2026; the training is free of charge. The programme will consist of five modules, which include the study of the Russian language, the basics of journalism, ethics, and practical skills in creating multimedia content and developing critical thinking.

The classes will feature: theory and the basics of journalism; content creation; meetings with opinion leaders; tours of the editorial offices of leading media; covering the activities of the National Centre RUSSIA, sessions both at the Media House of the Movement of the First, and at the venues of the "Youth and Children in the Space of Opportunities" project, which is open with the aim to provide the career guidance for teenagers.

Training at the Young Journalists School will enable the participants to take part in events at the National Centre RUSSIA, and will also provide them with access to its media infrastructure. The educational process includes meetings with experts from leading federal media outlets and media holdings.

The co-organiser of the Young Journalists School is the Movement of the First; the programme partners of the project are the Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation "Dialogue" and the "New Media Workshop".

The press conference on 13 January 2026 will feature the following speakers:

Anastasia Zvyagina — Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA;

Marina Kim — First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications; journalist and television presenter;

Yelena Kunina — Head of the Media Communications Department of the Movement of the First;

Yulia Ablets — Deputy Director General of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation "Dialogue Regions", founder of the "New Media Workshop";

Andrei Medvedev — journalist at VGTRK (All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company), television presenter, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Duma;

Anzhelika Kiryan — Deputy Director General of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" Media Group; journalist and television presenter.
