Strategic sessions on establishing branches of the National Centre RUSSIA in the regions have begun
Public discussions on the creation of regional branches of the National Centre RUSSIA have been launched across the country. The first strategic session took place in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra. Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, Anastasia Zvyagina, addressed the meeting participants.
"You are the first, and a great responsibility rests on you. I am very pleased that all municipalities are present at the strategic session because they should also participate in the branch's work and be represented not only through the exposition but also through events. Just like at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow, where cultural, educational, and youth programs take place. I am confident that you will succeed, and we will always be in touch and ready to help," noted Anastasia Zvyagina.
The branches of the National Centre RUSSIA are being established by the directive of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. By the end of 2025, the first five regions of the country will have such branches. Yugra will be among the first regions to open one. The branch will be located in Khanty-Mansiysk on the premises of the educational and youth centre Art Residence "On the Shore" ("Na beregu").
"The strategic session brings together many municipalities of the autonomous area. Meetings are held with proactive residents, representatives of public organizations, the historical and business communities — those who are ready to contribute their proposals for transforming the space of the art residence located on the embankment of the Irtysh River in Khanty-Mansiysk. This area was specifically chosen for the creation of infrastructure that will allow us to regularly host major regional and federal events. A permanent exhibition will also provide an opportunity to showcase each of the 22 municipalities of our region," noted the Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra, Ruslan Kukharuk.
The new exposition space will highlight Yugra’s achievements and development prospects, the implementation of national projects in the region, and the contribution of Yugra’s residents to Russia’s progress. The exposition will be designed with input from local residents. Additionally, the venue will host an extensive business and cultural program. The branch is expected to open on December 10, 2025, coinciding with the 95th anniversary of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.
"The branch must be opened in time for our milestone event—the 95th anniversary of the autonomous area. This is a major and serious undertaking for us. We hope that everyone will be involved in the process. The most important thing is to take into account all the requests and wishes of our region’s residents," concluded Ruslan Kukharuk.
The National Centre RUSSIA provides methodological support to all branches both at the opening stage and later, as new federal and regional expositions and projects are launched.
