On 24 October, the closing ceremony of the federal stage of the "GosStart.Internships" track of the All-Russian programme for supporting young civil servants, "GosStart", took place at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow. The two-week programme brought together 250 participants from 65 regions of Russia, as well as 10 representatives from the Republic of Abkhazia.

"Russia has always been a country of opportunities. And now these new opportunities are in your hands. It doesn’t matter where you come from — another country or another region. You can try yourself in a completely new field. With new knowledge and skills, you are capable of improving your own life, as well as the life of your family and your country," said Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Anastasia Zvyagina, addressing the participants.

She also announced that the National Centre RUSSIA and Rosmolodezh (the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs) had agreed to launch a joint pilot project in 2026. As part of this initiative, internships under the "GosStart" programme will take place not only in federal executive bodies but also at the National Centre RUSSIA.

"Here you’ve found new friends and like-minded people who, like you, want to develop our country and move towards public service. Everything that has happened over these two weeks will contribute to your career development, broaden your horizons and give you new strength and motivation, because the path of a civil servant is not an easy one — it’s always full of challenges. You must understand that you join public service because you want to make the world a better place and improve your country. Your key mission is to make people’s lives better. I would like to wish that this final day of your internship in federal government bodies becomes a true starting point for each of you. We serve a great country — Russia!" said Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Yegor Litvinenko.

The young specialists completed their internships in 37 federal government bodies, 14 of which took part in the project for the first time. Throughout the programme, participants completed an educational course titled "Effective Public and Municipal Administration", underwent assessment of their professional competencies, and attended ten additional skill-building events, as well as a meeting with a Hero of the special military operation.

Regina Gareyeva, winner in the "Best Intern" category, shared her impressions: "Feeling once again the long-forgotten excitement of a student intern, I quickly sensed the warmth and support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education team. It made me feel part of an important state mechanism. I was lucky both with the employees who accompanied us and with my fellow interns. Together we were a real team, where a common strength was born."

The interns also met with senior management during visits to the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare, the Federal Bailiff Service, the Federal Forestry Agency, and other departments.

At the end of the federal stage, a rating of participants’ activity and performance was compiled, and the 50 best interns were recommended for employment in federal government bodies.

"I completed my internship in the Department for Civil Service and Personnel of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Before this experience, I had only a vague idea of what HR work in the public sector involved. Over two weeks I gained the necessary skills and mastered the software tools used by civil servants. Any internship is, above all, about people. During the programme, I made new friends and contacts from different regions of our country — and that’s especially valuable," said participant Artyom Kirillov, who was among the top 50.

Individual career trajectories will be developed for the most active participants.
