Wife of the Russian Ambassador to India: it is important to introduce our Indian friends to Russia’s culture and achievements

At "INNOPROM. India", the National Centre RUSSIA is introducing its Indian partners to Russia's traditional crafts, thereby strengthening cooperation between the two countries. Diana Alipova, wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to India, spoke about this.

"I am very pleased to see the National Centre RUSSIA at the first INNOPROM fair in India. Our countries have long-standing ties of cooperation in various fields, but it is also important to show our Indian friends Russia's modern achievements without forgetting its ancient culture and our traditions. That is why it is so wonderful and important that the National Centre RUSSIA is presenting different crafts from all corners of our country at its stand today. And I hope this will become an excellent platform for our further cooperation," she said.

The International Industrial Trade Fair "INNOPROM. India" is taking place in New Delhi from 9 to 11 September. The National Centre RUSSIA has presented its flagship project, the Department Store, at the event and also created a cultural zone introducing visitors to folk arts and crafts and the diversity of Russia's regions. One of the Department Store's main missions in India is to showcase the traditions of Russian decorative and applied art. Artisans work at the centre of the space, demonstrating traditional techniques and telling visitors about the distinctive features of their crafts. Guests can find a limited-edition series of Russian nevalyashka (roly-poly) toys in an Indian-inspired design, wood and crystal products, clothing featuring quotes by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and a variety of delicacies from across the country.
