Harsh beauty, shipbuilding and nuclear heart: an impressive exposition of the Arkhangelsk region
Launch a
rocket and see the largest submarine, take a picture with Lomonosov and listen
to northern fairy tales - the Arkhangelsk exposition does not leave anyone
indifferent. Let us tell you what surprises the Russian North holds.
Probably
every resident of Russia would like to visit the Arkhangelsk region: to see the
reserved Solovki, the Holy Lake, the fairy-tale Pinezhye. Tourists can enjoy
the pristine nature, appreciate the unique architecture - more than a thousand
examples of Old Russian wooden architecture have been preserved here, and also
get acquainted with ancient rites and traditions.
And while
the trip is only in the plans, you can feel the atmosphere of the region and
learn a lot of interesting things about it at the RUSSIA EXPO. Guests are
greeted by the hull of a ship that repeats the famous exhibit of the Northern
Sea Museum. But at the Exposition the ship has a special feature - an atomic
heart. The atomic nucleus in the wooden frame symbolizes the development of shipbuilding
in Russia. After all, nuclear submarines are now being built in the Arkhangelsk
region.
A model of the world's largest nuclear submarine "Shark" can also be seen at the stand. It is small, but detailed. You can even see a swimming pool and a gym for the crew. Also, guests can launch a rocket on an interactive screen and "wander" through a 3D map of the region to choose a route for their journey.
Almost every day there are masterclasses at the stand. It's hard to name things the guests did not do during the Exposition. They painted gingerbread kozuli, made wooden figures, wove birch bark bracelets, painted clay toys, and even made amulets - cloth dolls "Podorozhnitsa" ("Wayfarers").
On 9 April, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, Botirjon Asadov, visited the National Centre RUSSIA.
