A sovereign architectural and visual code to be developed in Russia
As part of
the large-scale international expert programme on architecture and urbanism
"Looking into the Future," the National Centre RUSSIA and the Moscow
Investors Club signed a memorandum on joint work on the visual identity of the
country in the field of architecture and urban development.
The
agreement was signed by Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA Natalia
Virtuozova and Executive Director of the Moscow Investors Club Vladislav
Preobrazhenskiy. The document provides for the development of a sovereign
visual code that reflects Russia's development at the current historical stage
and is oriented towards its future image.
The
creation of a unified architectural code will take into account Russia’s
architectural traditions, as well as visual and artistic features that reflect
the diversity of the country’s peoples and nationalities.
Vladislav
Preobrazhenskiy noted that to successfully develop an architectural code for
Russia, the synergy of efforts by urbanists, sociologists, historians, cultural
experts, designers, and, of course, builders is essential.
"Through
the joint efforts of the National Centre RUSSIA and the Moscow Investors Club,
a dialogue will be organised within the expert community, the result of which
will be the development of unified approaches to the sovereign architectural
and visual code of the country. As part of the Memorandum signed today, we will
hold regular consultations focused on the development of state visual codes in
architecture that convey state values and meanings to the younger
generation," said Vladislav Preobrazhenskiy.
The
Executive Director of the Moscow Investors Club emphasised that the
organisational capabilities and expertise of the participants in the agreement
will make it possible to bring together a pool of patriotically minded
professionals and experts from various fields of knowledge, business, and
science capable of creating the necessary "bank of ideas".
"The
practical, long-standing experience of the members of the Investors Club — the
largest developers in Russia with an extensive portfolio of completed projects
— will be valuable in discussions on approaches to the development and further
practical implementation of the code of a new era in architecture, design, and
construction," added Vladislav Preobrazhenskiy.
The
"Looking into the Future" programme has brought together architects,
builders, urban planners, developers, entrepreneurs, investors, representatives
of state and municipal authorities, public figures, and media representatives
at the National Centre RUSSIA. Throughout the day, the professional community
discusses questions of the architecture of the future.
The
architectural track of the expert programme "Looking into the Future"
also included a presentation of the results of a study dedicated to the future
of architecture, as well as panel discussions titled "Architecture of the
Future" and "Revival of Historic Territories."
The urban
planning track featured panel discussions such as "Visual Code of
Russia," "Visual Style of Regions: Opportunities and Prospects,"
"Discussion of Growth Points", and "City for Everyone: From
Theory to Practice."
The
"Looking into the Future" initiative highlights the role of the
National Centre RUSSIA as the initiator of a systemic effort in the field of
state visual communications.
The Centre
is creating a platform for the development of a unified visual language for the
country — one that preserves the cultural diversity of the regions and conveys
values and meanings through contemporary design solutions.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
