Ocean mysteries, whales and airplanes: the Khabarovsk region showed the beauty of nature and the power of production
Production of airplanes, ships, gasoline and metal — the Khabarovsk region presented its achievements at the International RUSSIA EXPO. The region shared its major successes in educating the younger generation and spoke about the most interesting places for tourists.
One of the main industrial achievements is the assembly of Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The aircraft are now fully import-substituted. This means that they consist only of parts made in Russia.
The region is also proud of its successes in education. In the Far Eastern Federal District, it ranks first in this area. For three years the region has been financially rewarding Olympiad students and those graduates who received 100 points at the USE.
The head of the region Mikhail Degtyarev noted that our ancestors were attracted to the Far East by gold and fur, fish and the mysterious ocean. He invited the guests of the exposition to visit local factories, as well as to enjoy the amazing nature: to swim in the Sea of Okhotsk, to ride in the ski resorts of the region, to get to the mountain lake Amut.
"We invite those who are attracted by Far Eastern tourism: flights to us have become more affordable, and this is a reason to see little-known ancient rock paintings of mammoths on basalt boulders — Petroglyphs of Sikachi-Alan, they are older than the Egyptian pyramids, and also Shantar Islands and our region — the homeland of bowhead whales", — said Mikhail Degtyarev.
It should be reminded that the International RUSSIA EXPO is held on the territory of the VDNH in Moscow. Here all 89 regions of Russia, as well as federal departments, corporations and public organizations talks about their achievements. Lectures, guided tours, workshops, movie screenings and much more are held for visitors.
The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the second day of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" the most remarkable essays submitted by authors in each track were presented.
