Tuva: A gateway to Asia and a sneak kiss
Visitors to
the stand of the Republic of Tuva can see a settlement of Old Believers, the
highest mountain in Eastern Siberia, Lake Azas and the largest Buddhist temple
in the country. On the Day of this region, the RUSSIA EXPO is holding a trivia
quiz, with winners receiving a trip to Tuva Incognito travel route.
The drawing
of the trip is not the only thing the Republic has prepared. It is holding
workshops on stone-cutting art and making a souvenir whip. The region is also
presenting a project to create a new transport route. Thanks to it, trade ties
with Mongolia and China will be intensified.
"Remoteness
and transport limitations, of course, hindered the development of Tuva in the
past, and even now limit the implementation of promising projects. But the
change of the strategic vector of the country's development towards the East,
towards Asia, is changing our situation. The transit potential of Tuva is
becoming in demand," - said Vladislav Khovalyg, Head of the Republic of
Tuva.
One of the
most colorful parts of the Day of the Region is the traditional wedding ceremony.
This includes the custom of "stealing the first kiss", plaiting
braids and collecting dowry. The guests of the exposition will also enjoy
performances of folklore ensembles from Tuva and the concert “Where the Yenisei
is born”.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit is in the morning and weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well. All expositions and events are free of charge.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
The second All-Russian Municipal Forum "Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia" is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA.
