Participants from 101 countries submitted essays for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth"
The National Centre RUSSIA has finished accepting essays for the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth." A total of 695 works were submitted by representatives from 101 countries.
Submissions were collected on the website dialog.russia.ru. Essays were accepted under four main themes: investmentы in human capital, investments in technology, investments in the environment, and investments in communication. Due to the high level of interest in the project, the submission deadline was extended until March 15.
The majority of the submitted essays focus on investments in human capital, covering topics such as education, youth policy, and the preservation of traditions. A significant number of essays explore investments in technology, addressing issues of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and labor productivity. Another key theme raised by participants is investments in communication, emphasizing international cooperation. Essays also reflect on investment in the environment, discussing topics such as future cities, clean water, and climate.
"Our project has generated tremendous interest, and we are grateful to everyone who chose to participate in the discussion about the future of the global economy. The geographical diversity of participants is impressive. Russia ranks first in the number of submissions, while among international participants, the leading contributors are from Mexico, Oman, China, Italy, and India. We see that the idea of the Open Dialogue is truly becoming global, bringing together representatives from different cultures and continents," emphasized Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The best essays will be included in a collection to be published in English. Experts have already begun the selection process. The authors of the top works will have the opportunity to participate in person in the Open Dialogue events, which will take place on April 28–30, 2025, at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Quotes from the essays speak volumes. For example, one author from the United States noted that our Open Dialogue is an 'olive branch' and a symbol of 'bypassing a broken process.' He emphasized that our countries have more in common than differences, and it is essential to recognize the need for respectful dialogue," added Natalia Virtuozova.
The Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA emphasized that humans are the primary creators of the modern economy. It is for their well-being that technologies are improved, comfortable living conditions are developed, and connectivity is enhanced.
Experts from leading global analytical centres, development institutes, higher education institutions, government bodies, business associations, youth organizations, science, and media will take part in the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth." Scientists, economists, students, and young professionals from around the world will define the directions of the global future.
The program will involve not only essay authors but also international experts who are working alongside them to prepare for the Open Dialogue. The results of their work will be compiled into an open report summarizing the event's outcomes. This report will incorporate all the ideas and hypotheses presented by essay authors, as well as expert opinions.
Registration for those wishing to participate in the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" is now open on the website russia.ru. It is available in a special section.
