Participants of the project "Young Tour Guides School of Russia" took part in the opening of the exposition "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future"
The "Young Tour Guides School of Russia " project
participants, together with Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of
the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, attended the grand
opening of the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future". The
event took place on 1 September. The young tour guides talked about their
experience received in the project of the National Centre RUSSIA, and shared
their impressions of working in the "Young Tour Guides School of
Russia".
Anastasia Zolina, a project participant, told Sergei
Kiriyenko about her plans for the new academic year: "A new enrollment in
the school of young tour guides will begin very soon, and I, as a graduate of
last year, will receive more advanced knowledge and will guide the tours with
more confidence. When I grow up, I definitely want to come to the National
Centre RUSSIA and be a tour guide here. My mother works here, and it's very
interesting to tell the guests about facts that I didn't even know myself until
I visited the exposition."
On 28 August, the National Centre RUSSIA launched enrolment
in the "Young Tour Guides School of Russia". The project is aimed at
the career guidance of schoolchildren and helps children acquire the knowledge
and skills necessary for guiding activities.
The students will learn the basics of guiding, attend the leading industry experts' workshops, have training on public speaking and scenic speech, develop their skills in working with information and texts, and try themselves as tour guides at the National Centre RUSSIA expositions.
The training will run from September to May: practical classes will be held in person on Sundays at the National Centre RUSSIA, while theoretical ones will take place online.Children aged 12 to 17 are invited to participate, and only those who successfully complete the competition task will be admitted. Applications are open from 28 August to 14 September, the competition stage will be held from 14 to 22 September, and classes are scheduled to begin on 28 September.
On 25 September, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the session "Aesthetics, Usability, Meaning. Design for a Competitive State".
