"The joy of communication": audience shared impressions of the lecture "Transport Architecture of Russia"
On July 31, the National Centre RUSSIA hosted the lecture "Transport Architecture of Russia" as part of the educational series "Symbols of Time."
The event was moderated by art historian and architectural researcher Yelizaveta Likhacheva. Speakers included architectural historian, tour guide and head of the educational company "Through the Eyes of an Engineer," Chairman of the Interregional Union of Tour Guides Airat Bagautdinov, and PhD in History, independent researcher, curator, writer and publicist Alexander Zmeul.
The experts discussed the history of transport architecture in Russia — a field that has always combined advanced engineering solutions, cutting-edge technologies and the craftsmanship of its designers.
Audience members shared their impressions of the event.
"Our whole family attends every lecture held at the National Centre RUSSIA by Yelizaveta Stanislavovna Likhacheva. I also invite all my friends — I think we’ll come together next time. The most valuable thing we get from these lectures is the joy of engaging with professionals," said guest Yelizaveta.
Anna, a professional architect, regularly attends the "Symbols of Time" lectures at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"I believe that Yelizaveta Likhacheva is currently the most knowledgeable lecturer in architecture. She presents all the information at the highest level and has vast experience. The topic of transport and construction is close to me, as there are many specialists in my family. My great-grandfather led the construction of one of the country’s railways. I learned a lot from this lecture and will recommend it to my friends and relatives," Anna shared.
The educational lecture series "Symbols of Time" with Yelizaveta Likhacheva continues and will soon expand to include talks on visual art, sculpture, photography, fashion and the role of the curator in contemporary culture.
Attendance to events in the educational programme is free with prior registration on the National Centre RUSSIA website, russia.ru. Up-to-date information is available in the "Events" section.
