Visitors to the stand of the Irkutsk region at VDNH can hear the sounds of the unique nature of Lake Baikal
01.29.2024
Visitors to the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH can now hear the sound of the surf on Olkhon Island or the crackle of Baikal ice. At the exposition stand of the Irkutsk region, an interactive sound panel with several headphones shaped like Baikal pebbles has started working. They broadcast various sounds of Baikal nature: ice music, summer wind in the grass, noise of old barges in a storm and even a walk with a flock of fish and a bear's winter sleep.
Each sound file is not less than 20 minutes long, which allows you to fully immerse yourself in the world of magical sounds of Baikal's wildlife.
The idea to create such an interactive opportunity at the stand was suggested by Igor Kobzev, Governor of the Irkutsk region.
"Visitors to the stand of the Angara region can see picturesque views of the Baikal shores, learn a lot of curious information about the lake and even dive into the depths of Lake Baikal with the help of VR-technologies. But we wanted to show one more facet of the unique nature - magical sounds of waves, wind, ships and even fish and animals. It can be interesting not only for those who have never been to Baikal, but also for the residents of the Irkutsk region, natives of the Angara region, who are now living in other cities," said Igor Kobzev.
Sounds for the interactive exposition were provided by a famous Irkutsk composer, multi-instrumentalist musician Evgeny Masloboev. He is deeply interested in musical experiments and has been recording the sounds of wildlife for many years.
We would like to remind you that the Irkutsk region's exposition stand at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH has maintained its leading position in the rating of the best stands for the second week. They are chosen by the all-Russian online voting on the official website of the event. All 89 subjects of the country take part in the voting. The results are summed up every week on Mondays. Now the stand of the Irkutsk region takes the 2nd place in ten nominations, and in the nomination "Best of the Best" - the exposition of the Angara region is in the 3rd place.
All-Russian voting for the stands representing all regions of the country takes place on the event website: https://russia.ru/voting/region. At the link you can log in, select the Irkutsk region and vote for the region's stand in 11 nominations.
