Ballet concert was held at the RUSSIA EXPO on Alexander Pushkin’s birthday
At the International RUSSIA EXPO, a ballet concert titled
"Ballet Stories: Russian Classics" took place, featuring the art
production "Pushkin in Ballet and Opera." The concert was held in
Pavilion No. 75 in the Cultural Projects Zone and was dedicated to the 225th
anniversary of the birth of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. Exposition guests
enjoyed 14 ballet and four cultural performances, all related to poems and
verses written by the great poet throughout his life.
The event featured ballerinas from Yegor Simachev's Ballet
Workshop, as well as the ballet artist and choreographer himself. He emphasized
the importance of preserving Alexander Pushkin's creative legacy and shared
several interesting facts about the poet.
"Alexander Pushkin wanted to visit China very much. He
was fascinated by the works of Confucius and dreamed of seeing the Great Wall
of China. However, the authorities did not allow him to travel, and he never
realized his dream. Nevertheless, in honor and respect for the great Russian
poet, a monument to him was erected in the city of Shanghai," said Yegor
Simachev.
Residents of Yugra joined a khorovod (round Dnce) and performed the "Waltz of Unity" to melodies from the war years.
The intellectual contest was held in the "Geography Classroom" at the "Geography Lessons" exposition.
The expedition has been held since 2012 on the initiative of young people from Yugra to preserve the memory of the heroism of frontline soldiers and home-front workers.
