"Our strength lies in this unity": Dmitry Chernyshenko shares what the Motherland begins with for him

What does the Motherland begin with? Thousands of participants in the National Centre RUSSIA project have already answered this question. Each answer is personal, sincere and unique in its own way. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko also took part in the All-Russian survey.

"For everyone, the Motherland means family, native land, history and shared values. Our country is incredibly vast and so diverse. But above all, the Motherland is its people: teachers, doctors, engineers, agronomists, workers and scientists — professionals in their fields. It is our shared values that unite us. In this unity lies our strength and the foundation of the country's prosperity," Dmitry Chernyshenko said.

For most participants in the project, the Motherland begins with family. It is the answer mentioned most often. Alongside family, participants name traditional values, home, children, young people and well-being. Everyone has their own answer. But they are all united by one thing: the Motherland is people, places close to the heart and everything that gives life meaning.
