The results of the "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign were summed up at the National Centre RUSSIA
On March
28, at the IV Congress of the Movement of the First, the results of the
All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign were announced at the
National Centre RUSSIA. They were revealed during a thematic press conference.
This year, Russians fulfilled nearly 112,000 wishes of children facing
difficult life situations. The All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes"
campaign has been running since 2018, and over seven years, more than 320,000
children's wishes from across Russia have been granted. Every year, members of
the Russian Government, state officials, and public figures join the campaign.
The press
conference was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the
First, Artur Orlov; the head of the "New Year Tree of Wishes"
campaign, Timur Safin; the president of the "Vyryuchayem" ("We
Help") charitable foundation, Anna Skorobogatova; the Deputy General
Director of JSC "United Grain Company," Ksenia Bolomatova; and the
Director of the ANO "Volunteer Centre of the Russian Copper Company's
'Power of the Urals'," Vladislav Ovchinnikov.
"The
'New Year Tree of Wishes' campaign by the Movement of the First and
Rosmolodezh.Dobro brought together 88,000 caring people and 1,500 partner
organizations. We managed to fulfill the dreams of 112,000 children. In
addition to the traditional categories, we supported children from the families
of participants in the Special Military Operation, as well as children from the
border regions of Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk oblasts. These children have
faced many difficulties and need positive emotions and our support," said
Artur Orlov.
The
Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First emphasized that the regional
branches of the Movement played a significant role in implementing the campaign
this season. Wish Trees with children's dreams appeared at shopping malls,
partner organizations, and federal and regional events across the country.
A cherished
tradition of the All-Russian "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign is
the participation of Vladimir Putin. This year, the President of Russia took
three postcards with children's wishes from the New Year tree, fulfilling the
dreams of children in difficult life situations. On December 24, the cherished
wish of Margarita Rutsinskaya from the Belgorod region came true — she
experienced a flight simulator. On December 26, Taisia Leonova from the Moscow
region fulfilled her dream of attending a rehearsal of Igor Moiseyev's ballet.
On Christmas, the head of state granted Arina Porkhal from the Donetsk People's
Republic a trip to Saint Petersburg.
According
to Timur Safin, head of the "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign, the
initiative will expand its mission and simplify its processes in the new
season.
"The
'New Year Tree of Wishes' is becoming an ecosystem that brings together various
opportunities for targeted support to everyone in need of a New Year's miracle.
It also unites a large number of people willing to care for others. We plan to
expand the formats of good deeds to attract even more compassionate
individuals. In this regard, we want to offer more opportunities for those who
have never received a gift before, using the resources available to us.
Additionally, participation in the campaign will become annual, meaning that
after their wish is granted, the dreamer will no longer have to skip a
year," explained Timur Safin.
In the Year
of the Family, the Movement of the First, together with the
"Vyruchaem" charitable foundation, launched an additional
participation format in the campaign to support children from families with
incomes below the subsistence minimum. Ahead of the New Year, the members of
the Movement, along with their parents, were able to take part in the
"Holiday on the Table" initiative and receive a grocery certificate
to prepare a festive meal.
"In
order to bring the holiday to as many families and children as possible, our
joint project 'Holiday on the Table' was created as part of the 'New Year Tree
of Wishes' campaign organized by the Movement of the First. We realized that we
could raise funds to purchase grocery certificates for families who would love
to set a festive New Year's table but, for various reasons, cannot afford it.
Participation was very simple: visit the website and make a donation,"
said Anna Skorobogatova, president of the "Vyruchaem" charitable
foundation.
The
"New Year Tree of Wishes"
campaign is held annually by the Movement of the First and
Rosmolodezh.Dobro. Partners such as VK, Sber, Avtodor, Russian Railways,
Aeroflot, and thousands of other organizations across the country also help
make children's dreams come true, including the United Grain Company and the
"Volunteer Centre of the Russian Copper Company 'Power of the
Urals'."
Participating
in the "New Year Tree of Wishes" campaign is an opportunity to create
a miracle for children aged 3 to 17 who are in difficult life situations. The
campaign is conducted in two formats — offline and online.
The IV
