On 26 August the National Centre RUSSIA will host the XII All-Russian Parents’ Meeting. The event has become a key platform for open dialogue between parents, government representatives, teachers and experts in the field of education and science.

The main goal of the All-Russian Parents’ Meeting is to create an effective communication platform for discussing pressing issues of children’s upbringing and development, as well as to strengthen interaction between the parent community and government structures.

The format of the meeting provides for an open dialogue with Sergei Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation. Experts will also take part in the event, including:

Oleg Kachanov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation;

Maxim Dreval, Director General of the Russian society Znanie;

Alexander Kudryashov, Director of the Russian Children and Youth Centre;

Vladislav Golovin, Head of the Main Headquarters of the All-Russian children and youth military patriotic public movement Yunarmiya (Young Army);

Artur Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian public-and-state movement of children and youth Movement of the First;

Konstantin Fedorenko, Chairman of the All-Russian parents’ committee, Director of the Artek International Children’s Centre;

Yelena Malysheva, Head of the National Centre for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation;

Denis Ashirov, State Secretary — Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs;

Igor Kruglinsky, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science.

The key objectives of the meeting are to ensure direct dialogue between the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the expert community, teachers and parents, to discuss urgent issues of the education system and to develop agreed solutions, with broad coverage of the event on television, online platforms and social networks to reach all regions of the country. In addition, the agenda includes enhancing parental competence by providing reliable first-hand information, as well as forming a list of initiatives and recommendations for improving state educational policy.

It is expected that the results of the meeting will form the basis for new initiatives in the field of upbringing and education, taking into account the opinions of parents and the professional community from all over the country.
