First wedding ceremony took place at the National Centre RUSSIA
On December
26, the first wedding ceremony was held at the National Centre RUSSIA,
continuing the tradition of the RUSSIA EXPO, where over 280 couples had tied
the knot.
Today,
three young couples from the Republic of Tuva and Moscow officially registered
their marriages at the National Centre RUSSIA. Friends and family came to
support the newlyweds. The Moscow Civil Registry Office partnered with the
National Centre RUSSIA to organize this first wedding ceremony.
"The
National Centre RUSSIA continues the traditions of the RUSSIA EXPO. One of
these traditions is wedding ceremonies, and we even held the First Wedding
Festival. Here at the National Centre, we will carry on this wonderful and very
beautiful tradition. Today, we mark the end of the Year of the Family in
Russia. The festive ceremony was named 'Year of the Family. Continuation: Road
to the Future — With Love Along the Way.' We thought: the future can only be
approached with love. I wish you many children and an endless love!"
addressed Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA, to the newlyweds.
Three
wonderful couples participated in the unique ceremony. Ertine Kuular and
Svetlana Nava came to the National Centre RUSSIA all the way from the Republic
of Tuva. The bride was born into a family of educators, while the groom’s
grandparents will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 2025, serving as
a wonderful example of love and respect for the newlyweds.
"Family
for us is the very hearth, the home where you feel calm, confident, and happy.
We want our marriage to preserve the traditional values of our people and our
country as a whole: love, mutual respect, care, service to our Motherland, and
raising children as worthy citizens of our country," shared Ertine Kuular.
Newlyweds
Ariel Eldarov and Viktoria Shaulova both come from large families: Ariel has
six brothers, and Viktoria has three siblings. The couple met after a prayer at
the synagogue, and their marriage was blessed by Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel
Lazar.
"When
I met my wife, I immediately knew she was my destiny. I pursued her for a long
time, and today, when she said 'yes,' I realized it was a great act of trust in
me as her husband and, hopefully, the future father of our children. I hope
that in the near future, we will come to the National Centre as a family and
proudly tell everyone that our marriage was the very first one registered
here," said Ariel.
Another
couple participating in the ceremony was Daniil Zotov and Polina Ivanova. These
young and energetic newlyweds deeply love Russia, travel extensively, and
explore the culture of their country.
"It is
a great honor for us to marry at the National Centre RUSSIA because we love our
country very much. For us, Russia is, as Vladimir Vladimirovich said, a family
of families. A very large, united family that defends its interests and moves
forward no matter what," shared Daniil Zotov, head of the Zotov family.
The
newlyweds were congratulated by Ksenia Yanova, Deputy Chair of the Board of the
Movement of the First. "I am very glad that I could attend such a
wonderful event today. Today, new cells of society were created, and family
themes are a priority for Movement of the First. I congratulate you on this
important decision in your lives and wish you family happiness, well-being, and
love," said Ksenia Yanova.
It is worth
recalling that during the International RUSSIA EXPO, the First All-Russian
Wedding Festival took place. It began on May 12, featuring the largest
simultaneous wedding ceremony on the exposition’s main outdoor stage, with 151
couples from 79 regions of the country. Many newlyweds chose traditional folk
attire for their wedding outfits instead of customary dresses and suits. From
May 12 to May 19, VDNH hosted festive marriage registrations, accompanied by
the ceremonial presentation of the symbolic flame of the All-Russian Family
Hearth, "The Heart of Russia," to the couples.
A total of 568 people married during the RUSSIA EXPO — an event that will remain in the memory of 284 families for a lifetime. Some couples have already become proud parents, while many are expecting new additions to their families. The wedding tradition will continue at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
National Centre RUSSIA was established by order of the President of the Russian
Federation, Vladimir Putin, to preserve the legacy of the International RUSSIA
EXPO and to showcase the achievements of the country and its citizens on a
permanent basis. Federal government agencies, state companies, corporations,
and regions take part in the Centre’s work.
The
National Centre RUSSIA is located at 14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Moscow.
The Centre is open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day except Monday.
Visitors to the exposition "The Birth of Scale" at the National Centre RUSSIA can see a model of the "Mechanical Engineering" pavilion.
