At the National Centre RUSSIA, a multimedia concert "Artemyev. The Connection of Times" will take place
On November
30 at 17:00, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a concert dedicated to the
birthday of the legendary Soviet and Russian composer Eduard Artemyev. The
event will feature his granddaughter Yekaterina Artemyeva, the lead soloist of
the Gradsky Hall Theatre Andrei Lefler, Nikita Shutov (trumpet solo), as well
as the Sound Puzzle Chorus and the Moscow-based ensemble OpensoundOrchestra.
The
melodies of Artemyev will be preceded by new works by young composers whose
creativity was inspired by the masterpieces of Eduard Nikolaevich. Their music
will be accompanied by modern technologies and generative design. Using
algorithms and neural network technologies, a team of engineers has prepared a
visual accompaniment.
As part of
the main program, the audience will hear soundtracks by Eduard Artemyev for the
films of Andrei Tarkovsky, Nikita Mikhalkov, and Andrei Konchalovsky. The
concert will also feature works by contemporary composers.
The lecture "Come and See: The Feat of Newsreel Cameramen during the Great Patriotic War" took place as part of the "Thursday. Development".
The centre has become the first, unique, and multifunctional exhibition venue in Belarus, operated by the National Exhibition Centre "BelExpo."
On May 8, the audience at the National Centre RUSSIA enjoyed a performance by a combined children's wind orchestra, which launched the festive concert programme.
