Award ceremony for young media professionals to be held at the National Centre RUSSIA
On 25 October, the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow will host the awards ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Youth Award in Media and Journalism "SHUM". The event will bring together more than 800 media specialists, bloggers, journalists, and industry experts from across the country. The ceremony programme includes interactive photo zones, autograph sessions with popular bloggers, and performances by honoured guests and invited artists. Performing on the National Centre’s stage that day will be the Sretensky Monastery Choir, Fogel, Miravi, Log Dog, and the evening’s headliner Klava Koka. Admission to the ceremony is free with prior registration on the "Youth of Russia" platform. The event starts at 15:00 (Moscow time), and the official part begins at 17:00.
"It is important for us that everyone leaves the ceremony inspired — with ideas, new contacts, and emotions that will motivate them to create their own media projects. This event is significant not only for the finalists but for everyone in the audience. Moreover, this year we are preparing a special online programme: starting at 16:00, the SHUM Award Studio will go live, featuring interviews with media experts. We will share the livestream link on the Award’s social media so that everyone can join the ceremony, wherever they are," said Tatyana Mandrykina, Head of the SHUM Youth Media Development Centre.
This year, 84 participants from 34 Russian regions have reached the final. These are media specialists creating content on important topics such as family, health, homeland defence, industry, agriculture, culture, Russia’s multiculturalism, and other socially significant issues. The finalists’ projects were selected by the expert council during the remote stage, which included more than 2,300 participants from all over the country. Winners and prize-winners will be determined by the total score from three stages of the Award — the remote, in-person, and public voting, which runs until 18 October at the link.
On the same day, 25 October, a business programme will take place featuring representatives of media communities and government bodies, experts from the SHUM Centre, ambassadors of the Award, bloggers, and journalists.
