Anniversary "Information World of Yugra" Forum opens at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra
The 20th District Forum "Information World of
Yugra" opened at the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra on 28 October. This
year marks the forum's landmark twentieth edition. Its main theme is "The
Legacy Code: Media. Values. Future". Around 400 people are taking part,
including journalists, media executives and staff, government representatives,
press secretaries, administrators of government social media pages and students
in relevant fields.
"The forum is evolving alongside the media sector, broadening its
geographical reach and bringing together journalists, press secretaries,
bloggers, administrators of government social media pages and students from
across Yugra. Its agenda is also changing to address the most pressing issues.
This year, participants will discuss audience needs, information security,
artificial intelligence and the future of traditional media," said Kirill
Kharitonov, Director of the Department of Internal Policy of the Khanty-Mansi
Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.
Over two days, participants will discuss current media trends, shifts in public
sentiment, the development of communications and new approaches to audience
engagement. The programme includes masterclasses, discussions, interactive
sessions and presentations of media projects.
Invited experts include representatives of federal organisations and
professional associations. Yevgenia Stulova, Executive Director of the
communications group Minchenko Consulting, will lead a masterclass on
communications in an unstable world and the particular challenges of audience
engagement in 2026. Experts from the autonomous non-profit organisations Dialog
and Dialog Regions will discuss current trends in public opinion, information
risks and social architecture.
Participants will also take part in "Novomediysk: New Heroes", an
interactive game exploring the use of artificial intelligence tools in the
media sector. Forum participants will present their own projects, including
initiatives addressing social and educational issues, the preservation of
historical memory and digital technologies.
One of the main events on the first day will be "Life in an Era of
Change", a lecture by Russian test cosmonaut and Hero of the Russian
Federation Sergei Ryazansky. He will share his experience of working in
uncertain conditions and discuss approaches to personal and team resilience
during periods of change. The day's business programme will conclude with an
open conversation about the media, giving participants an opportunity to
discuss professional challenges, current trends and new ideas.
On 29 October, the programme will continue with masterclasses and discussions
on the prospects for regional media development. Ivan Karpushkin, Adviser to
the Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New
Projects, will discuss the less obvious risks and long-term effects of
sociocultural projects. Vladimir Kasyutin, Secretary of the Russian Union of
Journalists, will examine the challenges currently facing print publications
and possible solutions. Alexander Shirokikh, Director General of the National
Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters, and Eleonora Rasulova, who
manages the regional television channels OTV and Channel Four, will discuss
broadcasting trends and changes in media consumption.
The key event on the second day will be a press conference with Ruslan
Kukharuk, Governor of Yugra, scheduled for 12:00. Journalists will be able to
ask the head of the region questions about life and development in the
autonomous okrug.
Particular attention is being paid to the development of professional
communications within government bodies. On 30 October, the Yugra Government
Social Media Forum will take place, with participants discussing the management
of official pages and modern tools for engaging with residents. Federal experts
in communications, sociology and new media will join the event.
