Catalogue of the exposition "Legacy for the Future" published at the National Centre RUSSIA
The
National Centre RUSSIA has released a catalogue following the large-scale
exposition "Legacy for the Future," which brought together more than
250 works by young artists and architects from six BRICS countries: Russia,
China, India, Iran, Ethiopia, and Brazil.
The
catalogue has become an important tool for preserving the legacy of the
exposition, which was visited by more than 111,000 people over the course of
three months. The publication includes works in various genres — from painting
and sculpture to video art and architectural projects — reflecting both
national identity and contemporary artistic trends.
The
exposition was curated by Semyon Mikhailovsky, Rector of the Ilya Repin St.
Petersburg Academy of Arts. In his foreword, he stated: "Despite cultural
differences, young artists show remarkable sensitivity to the challenges of our
time. Their works are truly worthy of being a part of history."
A special
part of the exposition was dedicated to works by graduates of leading art
academies in Russia and China, as well as pieces combining traditional
techniques with innovative approaches — for instance, the sculpture "Son
of the Earth" by Professor Dong Shubing.
The
catalogue is available for purchase at the National Centre RUSSIA. The
publication will serve as a valuable contribution to the development of
cultural dialogue among BRICS countries and a source of inspiration for future
generations of artists.
