Labour dynasties of the region presented to residents and guests at the National Centre RUSSIA
Today,
Khanty-Mansiysk hosted the opening of the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA,
timed to coincide with the region's 95th anniversary. Yugra is among the five
regions where the National Centre branches are being created as a priority.
The total
area of the National Centre RUSSIA in Yugra exceeds 6,000 square meters. Its
key exposition is the display titled "See Yugra — Fall in Love with
Russia!", which combines the region's historical, cultural, and modern-day
achievements, fostering a sense of pride in Yugra and engaging visitors of all
ages.
The
exposition includes several halls: an introductory hall serving as a conceptual
prologue, the "Pride Through Time" hall, the "Dialogue of Nature
and Humanity" hall, the "Hearth of Legends" hall, the
"Pride of the Future" hall, the "Flight Over Yugra" cinema
hall, and a hall for temporary expositions.
The
"Dialogue of Nature and Humanity" hall is a modern space where
interactive elements and digital installations demonstrate how centuries-old
knowledge of the natural world is combined with the latest scientific methods
for protecting Yugra's biodiversity.
According
to Tatiana Gorbunova, guide at the National Centre RUSSIA, when the first
industrial oil gusher erupted at the Shaimskoye field, it spurred further
drilling in Western Siberia. After that, oil towns began to appear, and people
came here, started families, and worked in the fields, forming entire labor
dynasties.
A special
place in the exposition is given to a section on the earth's subsurface,
featuring the labour dynasty of the Reshchikov geophysicists. In 2024, Natalia
and her son Denis Reshchikov proposed creating an exposition on labour
dynasties during a meeting with Artyom Zhoga, co-chair of the President of
Russia election campaign headquarters. Their proposal received the support of
the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
"In
our family, everyone followed the geological path. Everyone received a
geological education and worked in geophysics. The total family work experience
exceeds 150 years. And the children choose this profession purposely. At home,
we would often address the work-related issues, and usually the entire family
joined the discussion. The children saw and absorbed all of this — and
ultimately chose the same profession. I do not work any longer, as well as my
husband and daughter. Only our son works, continuing in the profession,"
noted Natalia Reshchikov.
Branches of
the National Centre RUSSIA are opening in the country's regions by order of the
President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The main mission of this project is to
demonstrate the unity and achievements of our country. Yesterday, the National
Centre RUSSIA opened in the Krasnoyarsk region, and today — in the Khanty-Mansi
Autonomous Area — Yugra. Through multimedia expositions, guests of the National
Centre get acquainted with the culture, nature, and economic potential of
Yugra.
Tours can
be taken free of charge by prior registration on the official website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Opening the meeting, Yelizaveta Likhacheva outlined the sacred role of the fairy tale in human culture.
