The sixth season of the "Your Move" project was launched at the National Centre RUSSIA: how students can turn ideas into action and boost their careers
In the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the President, Vladimir Putin, "Student Unity Day — 2026" was held across the country on 25 January. The launch of the event was announced at the National Centre RUSSIA. The venue brought together 600 students from all over the country. The launch of the sixth season of the All-Russian student project "Your Move" ("Tvoy Khod") also took place there, with the project expanding its geography for the first time to include students from friendly countries. Implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the presidential platform "Russia — Land of Opportunity", and Rosmolodezh, the project offers students of educational institutions thematic tracks to realise their ideas and launch their careers, thereby strengthening the country’s human and intellectual potential. The "Your Move" project is part of the national project "Youth and Children".
The event was organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Rosmolodezh, the All-Russian student project "Your Move", the presidential platform "Russia — Land of Opportunity", the Russian society Znanie, and the Russian Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First".
"President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has
repeatedly said that the future of the country is determined by the
aspirations, achievements, and life priorities of the younger generation. A
united student community is a powerful creative force. It is no coincidence
that the launch of the sixth season of the All-Russian project 'Your Move' is
taking place on Students’ Day under the slogan 'United Students of Russia —
Energy of the Future'," emphasised Deputy Chairman of the Government of
the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko.
He reminded that the knowledge and drive for creative
activity demonstrated by young people are intended to serve the strengthening
of our society, the cultivation of patriotism, mutual assistance, and a sense
of involvement in the fate of the Fatherland.
"Thanks to the national project 'Youth and Children',
thousands of youth and student initiatives are being implemented in Russia.
'Your Move' is one such project, which has already united millions of active
young people across the country and continues to expand horizons. Through the
project, young people receive grant support, job offers from employers, find
new friends, and share their experience with others. I am confident that this
season as well, the 'Your Move' project will become a springboard to new
achievements for many, help them find like-minded people, bring the boldest
ideas to life, and define their personal trajectory of success," the
Deputy Prime Minister said.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that it is active and talented
students with initiative, young researchers, educators, and leaders of student
associations who are shaping the future by putting forward bold ideas,
implementing social and scientific projects, and demonstrating responsibility
and a firm civic stance.
"Student life is a time of discovery, experimentation, and bold ideas, when it is important not to be afraid to try something new. The 'Your Move' project gives students the opportunity to create and implement real projects that change the lives of cities and communities. In the past year alone, more than 400,000 students took part in the project, and over five seasons more than a thousand socially significant initiatives have been implemented across the country. The sixth season will open up new opportunities for young people to develop themselves, support one another, and contribute to the future of Russia," said Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
This year, students of higher and vocational educational institutions, as well as young people from the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Belarus, and Slavic universities aged 14 to 35, will be able to take part in five contest tracks: "I Do", "I Define", "I Discover", "I Inspire", and "Your Move, Head Student!". In addition to the main tracks, all participants will have the opportunity to join the programme "Live and Create in Russia", as well as take part in the special projects "Your Move x Debattle" and "Your Move x Improvisation".
"The launch of the sixth season of the 'Your Move' project opens a new stage in the development of a unified student community. Today, project teams have already been established in 79 regions of Russia, as well as in the friendly Republic of Abkhazia. More than 150 student associations are actively operating in educational institutions. It is symbolic that from this season the project is expanding its geography and will unite not only Russian students, but also students from universities in the near abroad — the Republic of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Belarus, as well as Slavic universities where our compatriots study. In the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, this takes on particular significance. It is important to emphasise that 'Your Move' not only helps participants unlock their personal talents and implement initiatives, but also fosters a sense of belonging to a unified community among young people, cultivating patriotism, civic responsibility, and a conscious attitude towards the future of their Motherland," said Andrei Betin, Director General of the presidential platform "Russia — Land of Opportunity" and Rector of the Senezh Management Workshop.
In the sixth season, the "VosKhod" club will begin operating in an updated format. The club will become a platform for interaction and for strengthening ties between the project and its winners, as well as for involving them in the implementation of state youth policy. Residents of the "VosKhod" club will be winners of the competition or competitive tracks of the project from 2022 to 2026 who pass a special selection process.
"The 'Your Move' project continues to develop and unite students from universities and colleges across the country — currently more than 2.5 million participants and over 700 partner educational organisations, including universities and colleges. In the new season, the 'Your Move, Head Student!' contest has also become a separate competitive track, while the 'VosKhod' club has received an updated operational format — it is now a platform for interaction between winners of the project from different years. We involve them in the implementation of state youth policy and help develop their personal potential. Club residents will be able to enhance their competencies, scale their projects and initiatives, receive support from like-minded people, and become mentors for new project participants in their regions," said Grigory Gurov, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
In the new season, the special project "Your Move x Debattle" will also continue its development — a team competition in the format of public debates aimed at fostering a culture of constructive dialogue, developing critical thinking, public speaking skills, and the ability to argue one’s position in a respectful discussion. The fourth season of the special project includes two tracks: "Students" and "Teachers".
The special project "Your Move x Improvisation" is also continuing its work. It is aimed at the creative self-realisation of university and college students in the genre of stage comedy improvisation. In the third season, competitive challenges will be held in two leagues — "Duets" and "4x4".
"In the new season of the project, we want every student — regardless of whether they study in higher or vocational education — to have equally broad opportunities for participation and self-realisation. The 'Your Move' project is an entire system of opportunities where young people can influence the future of our country by developing their talents, broadening their horizons, and creating new opportunities for themselves and for society," emphasised Yulia Yepifanova, Head of the All-Russian student project "Your Move".
As part of the sixth season of the project, the third season of the flagship programme "Live and Create in Russia" is being implemented. The programme is aimed at training leaders of the student community, as well as preserving and strengthening traditional spiritual and moral values. The programme is designed for one year and includes inter-module work, as well as three key in-person modules: "Live", "Create", and "Live and Create in Russia".
In the sixth season, the Expert Centre of the "Your Move" project continues to shape and analyse the opinions of the unified student community. It will conduct social surveys and research to identify students’ current needs, engage them in meaningful analysis of the higher education system, and support a joint search for solutions to its development. In the new season, the Expert Centre is expanding its capabilities, including the launch of a community of student analysts.
An integral part of the project remains the "Your Move" Career Centre — a structural unit that provides career guidance for students, offers career counselling, and facilitates the employment of young professionals.
The season will also see the further development of the Index of Attitudes towards Educational Work (the "Your Move" rating) — a universal system for assessing the effectiveness of educational activities and the implementation of youth policy in educational organisations. The Index takes into account both the level of student satisfaction and the degree of their involvement in state youth policy and educational work.
Similar events were held in Russia’s regions. They demonstrated opportunities for student interaction and formats for engagement in youth projects, including the sixth season of the "Your Move" project. As part of the regional events, meetings were also held between heads of constituent entities and representatives of the student community.
Detailed information about the competitive tracks and project opportunities, as well as the application form for participation, is available on the "Your Move" platform.
