A commemorative stamp marking the 65th anniversary of Gagarin’s flight cancelled at the National Centre RUSSIA
A ceremonial cancellation of a commemorative stamp issued for the first Space Week in the Russian Federation and dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight took place on 9 April at the Russian Space Forum at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The event was attended by the Director General of Roscosmos State Corporation, Dmitry Bakanov, and Chairman of the Management Board and Director of the Roscongress Foundation, Alexander Stuglev. The ceremony’s guest of honour was Director General of Marka JSC, Veronika Maksimenkova.
The stamp features a cosmonaut looking out of a spacecraft porthole into a star cluster and the depths of space. The artist is Sergei Ulyanovsky. The print run amounts to 168,000 copies, which have already entered postal circulation.
A commemorative postmark dated 9 April 2026 was prepared for the cancellation of the stamps. Each envelope receives an imprint and is signed by the participants of the ceremony.
The first Russian Space Forum is taking place on 9 April at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the first Space Week. Delegations from 40 countries are taking part in the event.
The event is organised by Roscosmos State Corporation, with the Roscongress Foundation acting as operator, and with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

A session titled "Global Interdisciplinary Dialogue: How to Tell Stories about Space and Create Content in the Digital Age" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the first Russian Space Forum.
The large-scale event is being held as part of Space Week.
The group visited a historic mansion on Myasnitskaya Street — the headquarters of the publishing house Argumenty i Fakty (Arguments and Facts).
