It is important for families to visit expositions together: Natalia Virtuozova on how interest in knowledge is born
Can visiting an exposition be fully replaced by an online
format? This question was asked to the Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova, by VEB.RF Chief Strategist Mikhail Khomich at the
session "A Tour as a Lesson. The Educational Effect of Impressions"
as part of SPIEF 2026. Natalia
Virtuozova is convinced that visiting expositions in person remains especially
important.
"Of
course, we are also developing online formats. Our projects are
available on different platforms, and there are also 3D expositions. But it is
very important for us that people visit expositions together — with their
parents, teachers and families. It is also important to have a tour guide
nearby. That is why the 'Young Tour Guides School of Russia' operates at the
National Centre RUSSIA today. After all, what matters is not only knowledge
itself, but also who conveys it and how," said Natalia Virtuozova.
According to the Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA, modern technologies help make knowledge more accessible, but nothing
can replace the personal impressions, communication and emotions that emerge
when people visit expositions together.
