At the National Centre RUSSIA, the 4th International Documentary Film Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" will open on 21 February and run until 23 February. The audience programme will include 38 films by well-known Russian and international filmmakers. These are works by war correspondents from RT, Channel One, Rossiya 1, NTV, Channel 360, RIA Novosti, as well as independent documentary filmmakers. The National Centre RUSSIA is the festival’s general partner.

Among the premieres is the film by RT.Doc war documentarian Yekaterina Kitaytseva "The Reconstruction of the Soul of Donbass", about the restoration of churches in Donbass destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Guests will also be the first to see the film by renowned producer, screenwriter and director Tatyana Borshch "Bloody Puppets of the West", about women politicians whose common trait is a thirst for power combined with cruelty.

This year, the festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" will feature an expanded international programme. Documentary filmmakers from 13 countries will take part — Algeria, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan. More than 3,000 applications from over 100 countries were submitted for participation in the festival.

As part of the business programme, the panel discussion "Own Relatives" ("SVOi Rodnye") will focus on the rehabilitation and adaptation of veterans of the special military operation. At the round table "Without a Statute of Limitations", participants will present evidence of war crimes committed by Kiev. And during the discussion "Partisans of Truth", directors and journalists from different countries will talk about why, despite pressure and bans, documentary filmmakers continue to speak the truth.

The opening ceremony of the festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" will take place on 21 February at 17:00. On 23 February at 17:30, the closing ceremony and a grand festive concert for Defender of the Fatherland Day will be held, organised jointly with the National Centre RUSSIA.

Throughout all three days of the festival, guests will also enjoy performances by contemporary poets — Dmitry Artis, Olga Starushko, Dinara Kerimova and others. They will read their works included in RT poetry collections "Poetry of the Russian Summer" and "Poetry of the Russian Winter".

As part of the festival, the art exposition "Heroes of Our Time" will be held, featuring 30 works. To visit it, registration for any festival event is required.

"RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" is an international travelling audience documentary film festival that has been operating for three years. Its goal is to convey the truth about the special military operation to the entire world.

The festival programme brings together films by Russian and international documentary filmmakers about defenders of the Fatherland, war correspondents, volunteers, military doctors and other patriotic heroes, highlighting interethnic and interfaith unity in the face of a common threat. The festival collection includes more than 200 films.

Over three years, the festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" and screenings of its programme have taken place in 65 Russian regions and more than 30 countries, including NATO and EU states.

The schedule and free tickets are available on the festival website. In addition, a livestream of the event will be available on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA.
