In Russia for love: the II All-Russian Wedding Festival to take place at the National Centre RUSSIA
On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity — July 8 — the II All-Russian Wedding Festival will begin at the National Centre RUSSIA. On this day, 170 couples will tie the knot simultaneously. The event will be part of a vibrant festival programme that will run until July 13 and include themed concerts, guided tours, expositions, and meetings with fascinating people. Applications from couples are accepted on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA until June 7.
For the first time the All-Russian Wedding Festival held was in 2024, and this year it can already be considered a well-established and wonderful tradition. While last year 151 couples got married simultaneously as part of the festival, this summer 170 new families will be created at the venue of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The wedding festival will begin with a boat cruise for the couples along the Moskva River on passenger motor ships. After that, the newlyweds will walk from the pier to the entrance of the National Centre RUSSIA. The central event of the programme will be the simultaneous wedding ceremony. The celebration will conclude with a large concert and a symbolic ceremony of passing the family hearth.
The festival will run until July 13. Its programme will include educative guided tours, lectures, workshops, expositions, lectures, and public talks. Throughout its duration, the festival will showcase the rich culture of Russia through the wedding traditions of its peoples. The celebration will conclude with a grand gala concert.
To take part in the simultaneous marriage registration, couples must meet one requirement — to include elements of traditional national costume in their attire.
Photos and applications from candidates are accepted via the website of the National Centre RUSSIA, on Gosuslugi, or by email through the Moscow Civil Registry Office. The 170 couples will be selected on a competitive basis by the Moscow Civil Registry Office and the National Centre RUSSIA.
